 Welcome!

I hope this website provides you with additional information you might need before beginning counseling.  I work with adults and teens over 16 and have been told I bring a warm, compassionate presence to my work with clients.    I have a special interest in helping individuals with traumatic grief & loss, PTSD, trauma, anxiety and depression, and life transitions.    My approach stems from numerous theories including client centered, psychodynamic, humanistic, and IFS as well as EMDR and restorative retelling methods.

I completed a Master’s Degree Mental Health Counseling in 2004 at Seattle University in Seattle, Washington.   I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with the states of Washington and Oregon and I'm a certified EMDR practioner by the EMDR International Association, EMDRIA.  In addition, I have a background in human resources with a focus on  development, interviewing, and career counseling.   I also provide tele-mental health counseling to clients within Washington or Oregon states.

When available, client openings are typically late morning to early afternoon appointments only.    At this time, my practice is currently full.

Grief and Loss Counseling

Counseling for traumatic loss, grief, depression and anxiety.   Loss can be overwelming without support through the grieving process, particularly when few can understand the unanticipated trauma of homicide, suicide, accidents as well as other unanticipated losses of those we love.

Life Transitions

Helping individuals navigate changes, breakups or divorce or other losses.   Relationship changes or starting new can be easier with therapuetic support.

Counseling for Teens

Counseling for teens (ages 16 and older)

in transition.   Help from a caring therapist can help your teen navigate and cope with current distress, gain more confidence, often resulting in greater family harmony.
